EXTRAEXTRA / PRIVACY

Your reading.
Your business.

Effective 15 October 2026 · Applies to the ExtraExtra app for Android, published by Aber Technologies

Our promise: ExtraExtra has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don’t collect, receive or sell any data about you. Everything you set up in the app stays on your phone.

What stays on your device

To work, the app keeps the following in its private storage on your phone. It is never sent to us.

The home screen widgets read the same on-device data.

Connections to news sites

ExtraExtra loads news directly from the websites of the publishers you follow. When it fetches a feed, an article or an image, your phone connects to that publisher’s server, as any web browser would. The publisher can see standard connection information such as your IP address and a browser-style user agent. Their handling of that information is covered by their own privacy policies. ExtraExtra doesn’t send any of your settings, reading history or other personal information to them.

When you choose to open an article on the publisher’s site, it opens in your browser’s in-app view, where your browser’s and the website’s own policies apply.

Sharing

If you tap Share, the article’s title and link are passed to the app you pick from Android’s share menu. Nothing is shared unless you do this.

What we don’t do

Deleting your data

Because your data only exists on your phone, you control it completely. Remove sources and spaces in the app, or delete everything by clearing the app’s storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app.

Children

ExtraExtra is a general news app and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date. If the app ever starts collecting data, we’ll say so here before it does.
